The features of 11kV sf6 ring main unit

 

Ring6 is a totally sealed system with a stainless steel tank containing all of the live components and switching functions. The ring main unit is a group of high-voltage switchgear installed in the metal cabinet of the steel plate or assembled into a ring-shaped ring power supply unit. The core part of the equipment is a load switch and a fuse.

Ring main unit working principle

The working principle of ring main unit is that the power supply trunk forms a closed ring, and the power supply supplies power to the ring trunk and then distributes power from the trunk line all the way through the high voltage switch. The advantage of this is that each distribution branch can take power from its left trunk and its trunk from the right.

When the left mainline fails, it continues to receive power from the right mainline. When the right main line fails, it continues to receive power from the left mainline.
This way, although the main power supply is single-circuit powered, However, similar to the two-way power supply, benefits are obtained from each distribution branch, which improves the reliability of the power supply.

1.Prevent misuse and effectively protect people and equipment
When the load switch is closed, the isolating switch is automatically closed first; the load switch and the grounding switch also have strict mechanical interlocking and electrical interlocking, so that the structure firstly ensures that the two are unlikely to be malfunctioned, that is, when the load switch is closed In the position, it is impossible to perform the closing operation of the grounding switch.

Similarly, when the grounding switch is in the closed position, it is impossible to perform the closing operation of the load switch; once the front door of the 11kv sf6 ring main unit is opened, the load switch can no longer be closed, thus effectively Prevents the occurrence of misoperations.
